Fraser Place KL

The Place 
Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur is a part of the Frasers Hospitality group. Previously, it's an office building (Lot 163) and a serviced residence building within the same compound. Currently there are construction work in progress to convert the offices into more service apartments. Some units are occupied by permanent residents, but it's open for temporary stay booking.

As for the rate, it may vary depending on who's asking, so I'm not gonna put it here. Truth be told, this is one of the pricey accommodation options. For more details on rates, rooms and facilities, do visit their official website. 


The Location

The Stay
I was very taken by the look and feel of this place. The design is simple yet chic and stylish (that's how I like it ;p). I happened to get the change to stay here during my short stint as part of the organiser team of a recent event in Kuala Lumpur. 


The rooms range from studio, SOHO, 1- and 2-bedroom apartment. We're in the 1-bedroom apartment. Take a look :) 

Facilities highlight (in my book, at least):

• Free WiFi 
• Air-conditioning with individually controlled thermostat 
• Peter Thomas Roth toiletries 
• Great location 
• Nice KL view 

*Coin-operated laundry is at the 18th floor.

*Gym, Wii play room and swimming pool are also at the 18th floor. 

Places Nearby 
It's practically a walking distance from Fraser Place to many of the surrounding attractions. You can reach KLCC within 5-10 minute walk and and the many nightclubs located along the Jalan P. Ramlee. The KL Live Centre, where many gigs and showcases are held, is just opposite the street. KL Tower, Hard Rock Cafe and Pavilion shopping mall however, are slightly further away.


There aren't many F&B outlets nearby, except for those within Fraser Place. Some small food kiosks could be found within the KL Citywalk stretch located behind the building. Sadly, the citywalk isn't very much alive in the evenings. So that is something to note while you're here.


Since I'm based in KLCC, I'd never have thought of staying in the area for the night. But the chance to be at Fraser Place and see KL as how a tourist would..that's kinda cool.
